Mary Jane Lamond: NYC Arts – The Complete Guide. Lamond is a sharer of songs, stories and spirit. Her latest recording, Storas (Gaelic for “a treasure”), is an interpretation of the Scottish Gaelic songs that are part of Nova Scotia’s Gaelic tradition. Her use of modern instrumentation and arrangements provides a respectful framework for these Gaelic treasures, but it is Mary Jane’s vocal performance and heartfelt delivery that makes these selections come alive for the listener.
